I knit with Knit Picks Gloss Lace Winter Night. 70 % Merino Wool, 30 % Silk. Each skein was 440 yards/50 grams. I used 2 and a half skeins.
I think the hardest part was blocking. It's so light weight. Every once in a while I love what I knit and this is one of the times.
I'm in a Winter Prep Along with a group from Basically Benita. So far I have one pair of child size mittens with a cable running up the front. I knit them with hand dyed alpaca yarn. Kind of hard to see the cable with the different colors and me with not the greatest camera. I'm on my second pair but they will be blue and white Nordic. I'm almost finished with the first one.
One sock down one to go with my Simply Sock yarn. Love them. Again the color is much nice in person then on the computer.
Over Labor Day our daughter Dawn and her finance Chris went to World's End State Park in Sullivan County. It's so beautiful and the cabins are so rustic. When the kids where smaller we would vacation there for a whole week. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, camp fires and the kids rode their bikes all day long. They sure did sleep good at night! We are so lucky to have state parks in our state!
This picture was taken as we road across the Loyalsock Creek. The water is cold and clear.
